Kinetic ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information. By using the Kinetic app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We collect information you provide directly, including: account information (display name, email address, date of birth, gender); body measurements (height, weight, and unit preferences); workout data (exercises, sets, repetitions, weights, workout duration, and timestamps); equipment or exercise photos you choose to upload; and optional goal data (target weight, fitness objectives). We also collect certain technical data automatically, such as device type, operating system version, app version, and crash logs, solely to maintain and improve the App.
If you grant permission, we may also read health and fitness data from Apple Health (HealthKit) on iOS or Google Health Connect on Android, including body weight measurements. This data is read-only — Kinetic never writes data back to your health platform. Health data is used solely to populate your weight log and is stored in your private Kinetic account on Firebase. You can revoke this permission at any time from your device's Health app or from Settings > Privacy & Security within Kinetic.
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the fitness tracking service; calculate workout statistics, personal records, and progress over time; sync your data across your devices via cloud storage; send workout reminders and goal notifications if you have enabled them; diagnose technical issues and improve app stability; and communicate important updates about the service.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase and Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, which provides industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest. We implement access controls to ensure that only authorized systems can read your personal data. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention records).
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to access your data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure (right to be forgotten), the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Kinetic does not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at app@aplicadom.com or delete your account from Settings > Privacy & Security.
The free version of Kinetic displays advertisements served by Appodeal. Appodeal and its demand partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, and general usage data for the purpose of serving relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's privacy settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking on iOS; Settings > Google > Ads on Android). If you subscribe to Kinetic Pro, all advertisements are removed and no ad-related data collection occurs. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports and performance data to improve app stability. This data does not include personally identifiable information.
Subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store. We use RevenueCat as a subscription management platform to verify entitlements and manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives your anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt data but does not receive your payment details, which are handled entirely by the respective app store. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share your information with: service providers who assist us in operating the App (such as Firebase for cloud infrastructure), solely as necessary to perform those services and under strict confidentiality obligations; law enforcement or regulatory authorities if required by applicable law or to protect our legal rights; and successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

Kinetic is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at app@aplicadom.com and we will promptly delete that information.
If you are located outside of the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are located and our central database is operated. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your country.
The App itself does not use cookies. However, our third-party service providers (such as Firebase) may use tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the App in order to provide analytics and performance monitoring. This data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
We will notify you of any significant changes to this Privacy Policy via an in-app notification or by email. Minor changes (such as clarifications or corrections) may be made without notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
